Monfort Companies, a Colorado-based investment and development firm, is making a bold move that reinforces its long-term belief in downtown Denver. The company has signed a 10-year lease at 1900 Lawrence, a newly completed 30-story, 700,000-square-foot Class A office tower. Monfort will relocate its headquarters to Suite 1930 in October 2025, a suite number chosen to honor the founding year of Monfort of Colorado.
This move comes at a pivotal time for the company, following the launch of Monfort Investment Corp., its new asset management arm. With a growing team and a broader scope of services, Monfort was seeking a space that could support its expanding operations while keeping it rooted in the heart of the city.
“We wanted a space that could grow with us while keeping us anchored in the center of the city,” said Kenneth Monfort, Executive Vice President at Monfort Companies. “We’re deeply committed to shaping downtown Denver’s future, and 1900 Lawrence gives us the infrastructure, energy, and visibility to keep doing that work at a high level.”
1900 Lawrence is located just two blocks from Monfort’s current office near Coors Field. Developed by Riverside Investment & Development and designed by Goettsch Partners, the tower offers a suite of high-end amenities tailored to modern companies. Features include a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga and group exercise studios, high-end locker rooms with towel service, rooftop pickleball courts, a golf simulator, and multiple indoor-outdoor lounges. One of its standout features is the Mile High Terrace, which offers sweeping views of downtown Denver and the Front Range.
“Monfort Companies will be right at home in 1900 Lawrence,” said David Shirazi, Senior Vice President at JLL, who represented Monfort in the lease transaction. “The quality of construction and depth of amenities set this building apart, offering the kind of elevated workplace experience that’s increasingly important in the downtown market.”
“1900 Lawrence was developed for organizations that value performance, efficiency, and a long-term presence in the urban core,” added Greg Pierce, Senior Vice President at Riverside Investment and Development. “Monfort reflects those values, and we’re pleased to welcome them to the building.”
Denver-based Projex will lead the interior design and furniture selection process, ensuring that the space reflects Monfort’s culture and forward-looking identity.
The lease at 1900 Lawrence also aligns with Monfort’s continued investment in the Ballpark and LoDo neighborhoods. In addition to its hospitality ventures—like Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row and Riot House—Monfort is moving forward with a new mixed-use development at 1962 Market Street and 1320 20th Street. These projects contribute to a growing portfolio of real estate destinations aimed at bringing long-term vibrancy and activation to Denver’s urban core.
By committing to a new office in the heart of the city, Monfort is making more than just a real estate move. It’s signaling confidence in downtown Denver’s future.
