The Main Marks Grand Opening

Developers of The Main, the new nine-story mixed-use building on the southeast corner of Main Street and Chicago Avenue in Evanston, held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the building this afternoon.

Anthony Scacco, executive vice president of Riverside Investment & Development, says most of the office space on the building’s second floor, about 10,000 square feet, has been leased to Fusion Academy, a private school offering individualized instruction to students in grades 6 to 12.

He says First Bank and Trust will soon open a branch on the building’s ground floor, while negotiations are continuing for other ground floor retail tenants.

The building also feature are large open-air plaza on its second floor, facing Main Street, where the ribbon cutting and reception were held.

Upper floors of the buiding feature rental apartments ranging from studio to three bedrooms in size,. but Scacco says most units are either one or two bedroom units.

Prices listed on the building website range from $1,465 a month for a 500 square foot studio to $3,535 for a 1,424 square foot three bedroom two bath unit.
