Mike Spence

Senior Vice President, Construction

Mike brings 19 years of expertise in construction and program management, consistently delivering projects on time and within budget. His diverse experience covers core and shell developments, office spaces, hospitality, and redevelopment projects. At Riverside, Mike serves as a Development and Construction Manager, overseeing all phases of entitlement, design, and construction. His responsibilities include managing the overall construction process, which encompasses, entitlements, tenant coordination, ensuring compliance with lease agreements and work letters, reviewing designs, controlling costs, and supervising site logistics. He is currently leading the development of a new flagship financial institution building in an affluent Chicago suburb.

Prior to joining Riverside Investment & Development, Mike was a Vice President and Senior Project Manager for Clune Construction, a national general contractor, for over a decade.

Mike earned his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science from Illinois State University.
